Norcott Campsite - Micro Campsite Set In The Chiltern Hills - On Northchurch/Berkhamsted Common

The Orchard At Norcott is a small, private campsite located right next to Northchurch Common, near Ashridge National Park, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Berkhamsted/Northchurch Common is the largest in the Chilterns, covering some 427 hectares. Northchurch Common is one of the five commons found on the National Trust's Ashridge Estate, where you can often spot groups of fallow deer in the glades and other open areas, along with a variety of birds and breathtaking natural beauty. Our campsite is situated at the top of Dudswell Lane, Northchurch Common, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. You'll find local amenities in Northchurch within a short walk, and there are some amazing country pubs all within easy walking distance from the campsite. 15 min walk to The Artisan Pub Restaurant.  30mins walk to local pub George & Dragon Just 40min walk from the campsite, you'll discover the ancient village of Aldbury (see attractions), there are two pubs The Greyhound serves food. Berkhamsted also boasts some great pubs like the Boat and Rising Sun and plenty of restaurants. It's a pleasant 35-minute walk along The Grand Union Canal. (10 mins in a taxi back) We welcome Duke of Edinburgh groups (DofE) and provide an ideal spot for hikers walking along the canal or Ashridge. If you're looking for a great pub nearby, the George and Dragon is just a 25-minute walk away.

CAMPSITE RULES
1. Small fires (in fire pits) and BBQs are allowed. You will have to bring your own wood not take our logs please, and not burn the grass, all fires must be a raised off the ground.

2. Dogs are welcome as long as on a lead and you clean up any dog mess.

3. Take you rubbish away with you as bins are for house residents only.

4. Please bring your own camping chairs/seats, not take/move our garden furniture or take items/logs from other places to sit on , as we have to move everything back.

5. No amplifided music and no loud noise after 11pm, please respect other campers. Any noise or issues should be reported to Jules by calling 07788151022 at anytime.

We have a cold drinking water tap available and 3 toilets. 2 sinks hot water but no showers.

Price £10 Per Person. (10% discount for NHS workers). No cars to be parked in orchard. If you need to unload tents etc. with a car please ask first as they can mess the grass up, especially if the ground is wet. We do have a car park next to the campsite.
Please take your rubbish away with you.
